Why does everyone want fame? Why does everyone want to be famous?
Life begins as a tiny seed, planted in the soil. From the seed springs a tiny green shoot that bears tiny green leaves. This plant needs all the nourishment it can get to grow into a mature tree. It needs protection against those that nourish on it. But once it has grown into a mature plant or a tree, it starts dispensing its duties. A tomato plant bears tomatoes; a guava tree bears guavas. A banyan tree doesn’t grow big fruits, but it provides shade to others. It allows birds to build nests in it. We must learn from the plants another basic rule of the universe.
Every being has its purpose towards others. The plant provides food; the tree provides shade. This is what the universe is trying to teach us in every moment.
We are born to help others. How we do it is up to us.
The question should not be why everyone wants fame. It should be how do they use their fame to help others?
